Yang Perlu Dipersiapkan

• Windows Xp Pro SP2
• Flashdisk USB bootable
• Asus Eee PC atau komputer yang mendukung boot dari USB
• Unduh Usb Multiboot2
• Unduh Bootsect

Pemformatan

• Ekstrak USB_MultiBoot2.zip
• Klik ganda USB_MultiBoot2.cmd

• Tekan sembarang tombol. Menu berikutnya akan seperti ini.

• Pilih Flashdisk anda. Centang ‘Quick Format’ dan ‘Enable LBA’. Setelah pemformatan selesai, jangan tutup jendela PeToUsb dan USB_MultiBoot2. Tutup jendela baru yang menampilkan isi flashdisk.
• Ekstrak Bootsect.zip. Buka jendela ‘Command Prompt’ baru (Start>Run>ketik CMD). Cari direktori tempat anda menempatkan bootsect.exe
• Ketikkan “bootsect.exe /nt52 <Drive:>” (tanpa tanda petik) lalu tekan enter.
• Catatan: Drive: -> drive flashdisk yang dijadikan bootable. Perintah ini menuliskan boot sector yang memungkinkan komputer anda booting dari flashdisk. Ketika menjalankan bootsect.exe, tutup semua jendela yang menampilkan isi dari flashdisk.
• Jika perintah berhasil dijalankan anda akan melihat pesan berikut.

• Anda boleh menutup jendela ini dan jendela PEToUSB. Jangan menutup jendela USB_MultiBoot2.cmd Akan terbuka jendela seperti ini.

• Tekan 1 lalu Enter. Sebuah jendela akan terbuka, pilih lokasi berkas instalasi dari XP anda (Bisa CD-ROM atau Hardisk)
• Tekan 3 lalu masukkan Drive yang akan diinstall. Setelah selesai tekan 4 untuk memulai proses.

• Klik Yes untuk melanjutkan. Script akan menyalin Windows XP ke flashdisk anda. Lama proses tergantung kecepatan tulis dari Flashdisk anda.

• Klik Yes untuk melanjutkan. Ketika selesai klik sembarang tombol untuk menutup jendela yang terbuka.

Booting

Colokkan flashdisk anda pada komputer dan nyalakan EeePC anda. Pastikan komputer anda diatur agar booting dari flashdisk melalui BIOS. Jika benar maka anda akan dibawa ke layar instalasi. Pilih opsi 1 ‘TXT Mode setup windows XP’. Anda hari menghapus semua partisi dan buat partisi tunggal. Hanya gunakan drive C: dari hardisk sebagai partisi dari instalasi Windows XP dan pilih Quick format with NTFS file system.

Catatan: Sebagian kecil tidak dapat di partisi. Ini normal untuk setiap komputer. Pada contoh berikut adalah sebesar 2 MB.

Dari titik ini, instalasi seperti instalasi Windows normal. Setelah bagian teks mode selesai, makan akan dilanjutkan ke mode GUI. Jangan lepaskan flashdisk sebelum layar desktop tampil.

Semoga tutorial ini membantu. Informasi lebih lengkap bisa dibaca di Help. Gunakan Nlite untuk mengurangi ukuran dari instalasi XP anda. Pada EeePC, ruang adalah harga yang mahal. Catatan: jika anda menggunakan nLite, pastikan anda tidak menghapus manual instalasi.

Catatan: Anda dapat menhilangkan System Restore dan Paging File, karena anda tidak memerlukannya pada EeePC.

Jangan mencolokkan flashdisk lain selama instalasi berjalan.
